Makhak,

That's an entirely different issue that you're having, related to your videocard. I'd advise uninstalling then reinstalling your video drivers, and then check for overheating.

For the rest of you, if your game is freezing up upon entering or moving around a major city, try the following to see if it helps at all:

1. First, if you are running a wireless connection, disable that and wire up straight to your modem or router using an Ethernet cable.
2. Disable background throttling. From the Launcher window, select Options>Downloader Preferences. UNCHECK "Don't throttle background download".
3. Adjust any checksum offloading and speed/duplex settings on your NIC.

- Click on Start.
- Click on Control Panel.
- Double click on the System icon (in Windows XP, you may need to click Switch to Classic View on the left hand side of the screen).
- Select the Hardware tab.
- Click on Device Manager.
- Expand the section labeled Network Adapters.
- Right click on your network card and select Properties.
- Click on the Advanced tab and you will see a list of items. Please try disabling the Checksum Offload

WoW randomly freezing [SOLVED]

rozodru1

I recently changed distros from CachyOS to Arch and changed DE’s from KDE/Plasma 6 to i3WM (don’t know if it’s relevant but those are the only changes i’ve made)

Since then WoW just randomly freezes. lutris log here: 2024-09-03 15:47:02,923: Command 'vulkaninfo' not found on your system2024-09- - Pastebin.com

it’s a completely random freeze. sometimes I can go a couple hours before it freezes, sometimes a few minutes. It doesn’t lock up the system or anything and I can still move my wow cursor around the screen, just the actual visuals are frozen. I can still switch workspaces and what have you.

At a loss right now as to what the issue is.

I have been searching the internet every day since The War Within released and I’m (un?)happy to see that I’m not the only one having these issues.

I can play WoW for a couple of minutes to a couple of hours, but it will inevitably crash. For me it crashes the entire system and I have to do a hard reboot. My system will loop the last second of audio and not respond to anything else.
Unfortunately, I have no idea what causes this either but I’m open to helping somebody

Game is freezing

My game is freezing repeatadly. I can play around 10 minutes in between, then it freezes and I have to shut it down and restart.

I’ve tried to the following:

Shut down antivirus

Delete battle.net folder and reinstall

Remove addons

Remove cache, interface and wtf folders, but this made my game not start at all and I had to put them back

Reset all game settings to default

Scan and repair with the ingame tool

I’m clueless atm. Can you help me please?

It is hard to know what it can be so only wow crash? Did you try to play other games than wow?

What kind of computer do you have?

I did a complete uninstall/reinstall and now it works. Although starting the game takes forever, so something seems to still be going on. It’s a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming laptop with Intel Core i5 and NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3050 and the game has been running smoothly up until the other day.
