Ark Survival Evolved: How to Force Save a World


Ark: Survival Evolved doesn't have a traditional save button. Admin commands are required for saving the game in most scenarios, including on the console. This functionality is available only to players with admin access.

How to Save in Ark

The game automatically saves progress as you play, but knowing how to manually back up the world is crucial for securing your progress after significant achievements, such as building structures or taming creatures.

Manually Saving in Ark

Manual saving in Ark involves using console commands. The command forces the game to update the save file immediately.


Steps for Saving on Different Platforms




On PC:
Log into Ark, open the console with TAB, type , and press Enter.


On Mobile:
Choose Options, select Manage Save Data, pick a slot, and tap Save.


On Xbox:
Log in, use the console command combination, type , and select Finish.


On PlayStation:
Access the console through the main menu, type , and press Finish.


Backing Up World Files

To save the world file, locate the save folder in the game's directory, copy it, and store it in a backup location. Repeat this process for

SetPlayerPos

SetTimeOfDay

This command sets the time of the day in the current game world.



ShowInGameMenu

This command sets the speed multiplier of the game, allowing you to speed it up or slow it down, 1 is default/normal speed.



SpawnActor

This command spawns an entity, relative to the blueprint specified, with a random level.



SpawnActorSpread

This command spawns a given amount of entities, relative to the blueprint specified.



SpawnDino

This command spawns an entity (creature or dinosaur), relative to the blueprint path and level specified. Specify Y/Z offsets to change the location it will spawn at (relative to your character).



Suicide

This command will forcefully kill your character.

Saveworld command / autosave

Hi,

I'm encountering some problem with this command, the savewolrd command is supposed to save the server in ...ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks
But i've tried all kind of saveworld command like cheatadmin savewolrd, saveworld, cheat saveworld or even cheatadmin cheat saveworld none of these commands seem to work, that never save the server.

The matter of that is that the autosave is totally weird and sometime make save after 3 hours and sometimes after 6, if a patch is released i need to wait this save before shutting down my server and updating that's really painfull
So anyone know exactly how the saveworld command works? How the autosave works?
