Cast compliment disney world

Disney World is often referred to as the “Most Magical Place on Earth,” but much of that magical enchantment is due to the incredible Disney Cast Members who go above and beyond to create special moments for guests.

Whether it’s a cheerful greeting, a small act of kindness, or saving the day with expert problem-solving, Cast Members are the heartbeat of the Disney experience.

One of the simplest and most impactful ways to thank these dedicated individuals is by leaving a Cast Compliment. But what exactly happens when you leave one? What do Disney employees get for Cast Compliments, and why should you take a moment to leave one during your visit? Let’s explore everything you need to know about this heartfelt tradition.

What Are Cast Compliments?

Cast Compliments are a way for Disney guests to recognize and thank Cast Members for their exceptional service. These bits of recognition can be given to Disney employees who work anywhere on property, including the resorts, theme parks, restaurants, transportation systems, and more.

You can submit a Cast Compliment through various channels. The most common way is through the My Disney Experience app, but

As much as we all love Disney’s rides, shows, castles, and snacks, what really makes a Disney park day special are the Cast Members. Most of us have stories about CMs who’ve gone above and beyond for us. Did you know you can share those stories with Disney? The My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps allow guests to submit Mobile Cast Compliments, a service that has been used 2.6 million times.

The best part is that Disney shares the compliments with its Cast Members. Andrew Rubin, a tram CM, appreciates receiving positive feedback. “When I get a Cast Compliment, it reminds me that I’m making this parking lot as magical as I can. If I can create magic in a parking lot, I can create magic anywhere.” Andrew’s pun-filled lyrics set to classic Disney songs have earned him 550 compliments.

“In the car park, the mighty car park, you might just find your car.”

The other day I was waiting for a friend in the Magic Kingdom. We were supposed to meet at Tomorrowland Launch Depot (that store between Space Mountain and Tron), but my friend was delayed and I ended up having to hang out in the store for more than a normal amount of time. It was pouring rain. I was wet, tired, generally cranky, and with my aggressive phone scrolling, probably giving off a decidedly grumpy vibe.

As I checked my watch for the billionth time, I looked down to see a tiny vehicle heading toward me. It was a remote controlled light cycle that zoomed in my direction, did a quick circle around me, and stopped at my feet. I scanned the area and saw that the cycle was being controlled by a cast member standing on the other side of the store. She pointed at me and then at the cycle, indicating that I should look bend down to examine it. When I did, I noticed that it was “holding” a Mickey Mouse sticker. The cast member then nodded at me, indicating that the sticker was a gift for me, from her, delivered by Tron cycle.

All of a sudden that freebie piece of sticky paper had turned my mood around. A sweet CM saw me (literally and figuratively) and acted to
