What is Latent Power
Latent Power is an armor skill that helps the player by increasing the affinity of the player's weapon towards the monsters and reduces the stamina depletion of the character significantly. Affinity determines the player's critical hit chances, so increased affinity translates to more opportunities to execute vital attacks.

I just thought about that but since lance take extreme advantage of Latent power (50% reduced stamina usage and 60% free crits)
i start to think i could ditch some crit and get 40% aff and get the rest with latent power since we can just activate it by taking 180 damage
Of course you need to be hella confident to take that much damage and not be stunned.
But i think for master's touch (which is a must for lance) could be extremely viable. Latent power last 2 minutes and can be refreshed as soon as it wears off.
